Milo protein Ice Cream

If you grew up drinking Milo, this one should feel familiar.

It has the chocolate-malt flavour of a cold Milo, but blended into a thick, creamy protein ice cream with 37 grams of protein.

You only need four ingredients and a Ninja Creami. Prepare it the night before, leave it in the freezer and dessert is ready for you the following day.

Ingredients

  • 250ml low-fat milk
  • 30g whey protein
  • 30g Milo
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum

I use Rule One whey protein. Use code DIIREN at Supps247 for 10% off your protein.

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to your Ninja Creami tub.
  2. Mix thoroughly until everything is completely incorporated.
  3. Freeze overnight, or for at least eight hours, until completely solid.
  4. Remove the tub from the freezer and allow it to rest for five minutes.
  5. Process using the Light Ice Cream setting.
  6. Follow with one Re-Spin for a smooth, soft-serve consistency.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

For the Malaysians: Sprinkle an additional 10g of Milo over the top to turn it into a protein-packed Milo Dinosaur. 🇲🇾

The calories and macros listed above do not include the optional Milo topping.

Pro Tip: If the ice cream still looks slightly powdery after the first cycle, don’t add more milk immediately. Give it one Re-Spin first. That is usually all it needs to develop that creamy, soft-serve texture.
