Two-Minute High-Protein Chocolate Cake

375 calories 32g protein per serving

Some days you want something sweet without turning it into a full baking project.

This high-protein chocolate cake takes a few basic ingredients, one bowl and just two minutes in the microwave.

It is warm, chocolatey and filling enough to work as a high-protein snack, dessert or even a quick breakfast when you are craving something sweeter.

Ingredients

  • 40g cream of rice or rice flour
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 130ml water
  • 15g dark chocolate chips
  • A pinch of flaked salt

Method

Combine the cream of rice, protein powder and baking powder in a microwave-safe bowl.

Add the water and mix until you have a smooth, mousse-like consistency.

Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips over the top.

Microwave on high for approximately two minutes.

Finish with a small pinch of flaked salt and enjoy while warm.

Pro Tips:

The texture before cooking matters.

You want the mixture to look more like a thick chocolate mousse than a dry cake batter. Add a small splash of water if your protein powder makes it too thick.

Enjoy!
